Q: How does my individual fundraising page work?
A: Each participant has the option to use their individual fundraising page, if he or she wishes, to ask friends and family to support the team's goal. When registering, each participant will have the ability to create their own personal fundraising goal. The goal is not required; each individual participant can choose to forgo this feature.

Q: When does Rally for the Jimmy Fund fundraising end?
A: To qualify for the prize visits, all gifts must be received by April 19th at 5 p.m. EDT.

Q: How is the money collected?
A: When people join your team at RallyfortheJimmyFund.org, they are asked to contribute a minimum of $10 online. Once registered, they receive email confirmation as proof of participation and are automatically enrolled on your team. If team members want to use cash, we do not accept cash through the mail, but any bank or credit union will exchange the cash for a cashier's check. Please make the check payable to "The Jimmy Fund" and send it along with your deposit form to:

The Jimmy Fund
Attn: Rally for the Jimmy Fund
10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor
Brookline, MA 02445-7226

Q: In what other ways can my Rally Team participate?
A: On Opening Day, you can organize a game viewing party to celebrate this "unofficial holiday" and support a great cause. Leading up to Opening Day, you can also host fundraising events, bake sales, charitable auctions, etc. See "Plan" and "Promote" for more ideas.

Please note: All events must portray the Jimmy Fund in a positive light and must be reviewed and approved by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute before moving forward. Please contact RallyfortheJimmyFund@dfci.harvard.edu or call 617-582-7724 to discuss your fundraising ideas and event-related plans with the Jimmy Fund.

Q: How can I spread the word about Rally using social media?
A: Use the social media icons at the top of the page, as well as the #RallyfortheJimmyFund hashtag.

Q: I want to give more than the $10 minimum gift. Is that allowed?
A: Absolutely. There is a minimum contribution of $10 to join an existing team online; however, you are always welcome to give more. See the Individual Prizes page to see what you can win.

See Official Rules for full details.

Q: My workplace or school has a matching gift program. Can my team utilize this resource?
A: Yes. Your Team Coach should follow workplace procedures for securing the matching gift, then submit any necessary matching gift paperwork and your single team contribution to Rally for the Jimmy Fund. Learn more about matching gifts.

Q: What are matching gifts?
A: Many organizations sponsor matching gift programs, where they match gifts dollar for dollar, and sometimes double or triple match these gifts. Please ask your organization's administrator if your organization has such a program.
